Thamnophis eques obscurus, born 7/5/2011, had a small clutch of 4 males and 3 female babies (huge babies) that were produced. These average 8-9 " at birth and are girthy, they are easily the largest garter babies I have ever personally produced. At this size, they are large enough to be able to handle whole pinks. The adults are housed and cared for the same as North American garter species and they feed aggressively on frozen thawed rodents.
They will have fed numerous times on feeder fish b4 being shipped out.
