it look likes a turtle bit him in 2 places.
one part is healed up and the other you can see the muscle.
scales are hanging off and its about 2 centimeters long
any input is welcomed

A photo would be great.
Anything open should get some antibiotic ointment.
A vet. visit may be necessary.

is neosporin the way to go on the ointment?
and ill be looking for an exoctic vet.
ill have pictures in the next 3 days

Neosporin should be fine for ointment, but try to get the kind without painkillers added. Keep us posted on how it's doing!

we lost the little guy :(
I found a decent vet though if something similar occurs.

What a shame but it may have been for the best. Sometimes the suffering that occurs with bite infections can be terrible.
We've had members that have saved garter snakes from cat bites but it's a roll of the dice.
