Tried to PM you but your folder is full.

You can create a new folder from the User CP tab on the right side of the home page. Then click on Edit folders field. There you can create 3 new folders to store your PM's in. Just keep in mind that saved PM's take up PM space. All PM's count towards your total no matter what folders you create.
Why not create a folder on your desktop, copy and paste the PM's there.
This way you never have to worry about a full PM box. Just an idea.

Why copy and paste, when you can download them all at the same time?

Download all Private Messages as:
XML | CSV | Text

to copy, just highlight the text, right click and click "copy". Or hit CONTROL + C
To paste, do the same, or Control + V

Do like Stefan said to save it.

Different strokes for different folks.
We all work with our computers in different ways.

Stefan suggestion makes more sense though.

Honestly I don't understand why the PM mailbox is so tiny!

Never used it but I believe users can upload photos to the galleries right? And that is hosted on the same webspace as the site? Sheesh 300 pms probably don't take up as much space as 1 photo.

Plenty of photo space.
Jason(Boots) doubled everyone's space about a year ago.

I have no idea.
It's probably some kind of upgrade that might cost him.
Jason foots the bill for this wonderful forum that we use free of charge.(Thanks Jason)
I think keeping ones PM folders cleaned out is a better idea.
Many times most of those PM's are just small talk and don't need to be saved(in my case)
If it does need to be saved I just copy and paste(Old School) into another off site folder.

I am sure he could, it is just a setting. As far as cost the pm's for a site like this would be nothing (as in literally nothing, I would guess this site doesn't use the minimum bandwidth/space it has now).

Having said that, it is nice that the site is banner free.

I don't have a problem keeping mine emtpy... there's very few things i need to save. I almost always clear my SENT ITEMS. That seems to help a lot.

Some people might be overlooking the little box that says "save a copy of this message to your sent items folder" when sending a message. If you uncheck that each time you send a message, it won't get saved and won't use up your quota.

Also, while you are reading a message that is just "small talk" you can scroll down and check the box, then hit the button that says "delete this message".

Doing those two things can keep you from filling up your quota so fast.

I think that allowing 50 messages is plenty. If you really think all of them are that darn important, you have the option of saving them to your computer before you clear them out.

I forget about those far too much. But yes, i did know.

And yeah, 50 is plenty.
