My new baby!

I finally got my new baby garter today! She's a female flame eastern from Scott Felzer, and she's absolutely great. Very bold, and already moving around her enclosure quite a bit. I had expected her to hide for a day or two, but she's been out exploring most of the time since we got her home.

It's been difficult getting her due to some family things going on, but I'm glad she's finally here! :)

Thanks! I really love how her eyes have that same red color as her body.

Houdini definitely knows she's here too. I let him look at her through the top to her enclosure, and I guess he could smell her because he got really excited. Then when I put him back into his tank he launched the most thorough escape attempt I've ever seen... It's probably still going on actually.

Just saw this thread. So you decided to get another!

Good choice on a flame. I just love my little guy and half the fun is admiring his color and thinking "ooohhh...he looks brighter today!". Okay lighting has a lot to do with it but watching them grow and change is so fun!

Sorry don't remember what Houdini is. If this is a female will you ever be able to let them live in the same cage?

It really is. They change so much over time.

Houdini is a male Florida blue, so they'll definitely be sharing a cage after the baby gets big enough. I'm hoping to be able to breed them sometime in the future (Houdini is hoping to get to breed sometime in the future as well). :rolleyes:

Her name is Harley... And I only realized she's the same color of the logo after naming her :D
