View Full Version : Feeding my baby, Mr. Snake
Just a short video of Salisbury Snake eating a worm. It's nothing you haven't seen but it's in HD and he gobbled it up pretty quick so I thought I'd share since I haven't posted in a little while.

Nom nom!
The color is similar to the other garters in the area, but he just shed 2 weeks ago and has been looking mighty fine ever since.

Nice, love the colors. How old is the snake?
He's about 15" long and I found him about a month and a half ago in Somerset, NJ. So I'm not too sure of the age but definitely less than a year old.

Thanks! Is that a pretty vivid coloration for a wild caught garter? Because the one's that I'm used to seeing in PA don't usually look as bright as him or have the clearly defined checkers.

They're polymorphic, they can have different colouration or patterns.Oh course, it depends on the location you're in. You could have just been lucky and found a little guy who was born a different colour where he was.
