Awesome find, what a steal, expecially for a 40 breeder! At the local petco that costs 75 dollars!
Edit: Posted before I looked, sorry people, is there a time limit for posting on this forum? If so, I apoligize.

What do you mean, time limit?

Some forums will ban/ warn you if you post past a "time limit", since you're reviving old threads. A lot of forums seem to hate "necroing" old threads.

Thanks Chantel,
I didn't know that.
I don't think this forum has such a rule.

I don't either, it's better that it doesn't. A lot of topics here are really helpful, and I think it's good to bring them back every so often so they don't go completely unseen.

I think that such a rule is dumb, there are so many old topics that answer alot of questions and are very interesting. Steve even posted not long ago about looking at old threads and how interesting they are... even posted a couple older threads he enjoys.
Awesome find, my dad once found a 72"x18"x12, or 16" on the side of the road... only problem was a crack in one of the ends... he used to make tanks and just easily replaced it.

No, there isn't.

Not only that, but there are times when an old thread needs to be revived so that new pertinent information regarding that thread can be discussed.

30G breeder; just a bit flatter - love that size, and am always keeping my eyes open for those

And some simply automatically lock them after a certain inactive time frame. This thread really isn't that old anyway Venti, don't worry about it. At least it's not 3 years old. Just a couple of months. That's no biggie. Even if it was 3 years old, I sometimes find it irritating when someone responds as if it were one day old, but there's no rules about it here.

Good work on the top by the way.
Question how do you keep it secure enough for snake?

You don't, in my opinion, unless the top fits snugly into the inside lip, or actually hangs over the outside. I have suspicions that the top shown is not escape proof.

Well they have the metal “C” type clamps. However, having them myself they would seem a bit weak for the size of the top.
I don’t know … maybe he places a rock on top.

Hum, it must work securely I just can’t see it. To dark to see the formed plastic trim.
Was there a slide area for a top in the plastic trim? And that was the section you made?
My Woma's habitat has the top that slide out and there are two locking devices with pins. How do you secure yours?
