View Full Version : Newly aquired pair of Coast garters

Picked these guys up from a guy names Brian Milhorn. These are from San Mateo County. They have a different look about them and bright flourescent orange spots all over and on the belly as you can see from the pics.

The belly on that one looks just like Snakey's belly, only Snakey has a lot less spots/blotches on his.

Nice. Just like the ones I used to find as a teen when I lived in CA. A lot of northwesterns around here have the same red / orange spots on the undersides. Looks just like that. Might want to consider some serious deworming and/or antibiotic therapy to make for better long term captives, if that hasn't already been done. They do love their wild frogs/rodents as food. Could be carrying quite a load of parasites/ "bugs"
