You will -never- look at ribbon snakes the same way! Just look at those cherry eyes... that neon stripe... who needs morphs when you've got it all right HERE! (No worries I've still got love for the morphs... lol!)

This trio is maturing into the hottest snakes evarrrr. They are dog tame... and they even prefer unscented mice over fish! I am looking to breed these in 2012. Most of this clutch went to canada... I kind of wish I had kept more!

Those are cute little guys! Their eyes are very pretty. Kind of like Mama's eyes, only brighter and more orangy.

Pretty. I kinda wish I had picked a pair up when petco had them. They haven't had any of that color since, only basically black and white ones.

two things Shannon, first is to add my name to the list of admirers of those great photos, thanks, second, is the personality's of your ribbons normal for these snakes, the reason i asked is that i tried keeping them many years ago and could never get them tame or even stop them being very skittish, i tried with several groups and came to the conclusion that i was better off sticking to the garters.
did i get it very wrong or have you struck it lucky with yours.

In my opinion, any ribbons that were raised like these would turn out just like these. They are just like all my other garters... the whole litter was like this after a few feedings. They were pretty skittish when they were born though! When I pick them up the gently sit in my hand and swing their little heads back and forth :)

I am concluding that the skittish nature of the ribbons that i kept, stems from the fact that they were wild caught and not brought up in captivity
with that in mind i might well give them another try, should any babies become available :)
