This morning I found my beautiful girl, Lily, had died.

I was putting her food into the viv, and saw her laying at the front - gave her a tickle to wake her up, so she'd notice her fish, and realised that the worst had happened.

I have absolutely no idea what went wrong. She had not been acting sick, she was active, and there was no sign of anything untoward in the viv. No thrashing around etc...
The very only thing that was strange was that I found her with her mouth open. She had gotten some of the coco-substrate in her mouth from lying in it, but there was nothing else obstructing her mouth. I just don't know what happened.

She had not been eating as regularly as normal, but was still eating.

I don't quite know how to describe how I feel. I miss her immensely and still keep accidently looking into her viv to see where she is. :(

Very sorry to hear about your loss.
These unexplained deaths are the worst. I just lost one of my favorite males(Patch) last night. He just turned up dead.
Mouth open with substrate in the mouth might mean there was some kind of convulsion upon death. Same as my Patch.
Prayers coming your way.

Thank you, everyone. Your support really means a lot. Lily is constantly in my thoughts, as if she's still here. Still finding it hard to believe.
I just hope this experience (and her memory) will make me an even better 'pet' to the ones to come. I can't be without garters now.
