A friend is cherished
and held quite near
The friendship given
is held quite dear
When our friend is gone
an no longer near
We cannot help
but shed a tear

The friendship perceived
from a friend held close
In a child's eye
shall be missed the most
We shed our tears
and show our grief
With memories near
we get relief

We've learned to love
and share and grieve
and hope someday
again, our friend to see

For Erin's friend, Brownie RIP 02-13-2011

Very touching, I remember loosing my first few pets and it's still tough today. The memory remains, but so do the good times.

Beautiful poem Le Ann, Erin I hope the pain of your loss leaves your heart and fills the space with the memories of such a special snake.

Thank you all, again. I had posted her loss a couple weeks ago but we had taken that picture for Erin and she had wanted it posted to the forum. I thought it fitting to write something to go with the picture.

Does she know she'll have a radix coming when the weather breaks?

No, that will be a surprise:D I didn't want to get hopes up if something should prevent that from happening.

No, I am all alone at the computer...
Husband is sick with the sinus infection I had all last week and is in quite a mood.
Waiting for dinner to finish cooking. Turkey drumsticks, yum...

That's sweet of you Steve. Nothing cheers one up like a sweet mannered curious radix.

Turkey drumsticks, yum...

See? No beans.:p
