hey this is twix i brought this snake as a common red sided garter

Twix looks like a redsided garter snake, I'm sure there may be some that have the darker tan colouring. Every garter is different! :)

im hoping so ! not ever seen a red like her thou so just querying it :)

My yearling ordinoides, Runt, is extremely different from any other ordinoides I have ever seen. She's much like your Twix, being very deep tan and all. 90% of the ordinoides here, that I have seen, are either white, orangey-red, or pale blue. The blue is rare around here though. Only seen 3 of them in my life.

There's a lot of the pale blue one's around here but compared to the other colors, they are fewer.

That's definitely a T.s. parietalis. They're quite variable. I've seen them that color or a little lighter with almost no red at all too.

Looks to me like cross of a Redsided and a NW :o

I don't think so. Here's another red sided garter snake in the wild that looks very similar.

I don't think it looks anything like a northwestern in any sense. Sure, she's a bit dark, but that's the joy of garter snakes. They're like a box of chocolates. ;)
