Hey again everyone! It's been a while since I last posted on my little ones. I have the bad habit of being easily distracted and quick to forget. From time to time I would come to the site, browse the forums, and start to make up a post, only to get side tracked and forget! Most of my time has gone to slaying internet dragons (World of Warcraft), watching anime, and attempting to learn Japanese (slowly, I will conquer this language!).

But enough side chatter, heres the real reason I am making this post!

On a quick sad note, my ghost corn did not make it. No matter what I tried to do, he just couldn't get himself situated and wouldn't eat, I was heartbroken to find he passed away one night. I feel bad about it (I knew it was likely to happen, but man, tears did flow), but at least now I know he isn't suffering or anything.

On happier terms, Blurr the albino checkered continues to eat and grow and be quick to move around.

When I opened up his cage, he was quick to pop his head out of his favorite hide and look around

He still doesn't quite understand how to properly grab his food, as shown here, and insists on eating, or trying to eat it from the middle!

After fighting with him and arguing telling him he was doing it wrong, I finally managed to show him how to properly eat his food!

And this last one is him curled up after eating a whopping two pinkies! (Most he has ever eaten in one sitting)

Now for Scrat, my male dekayi, who I *finally* got to eat worms

This is him coming around after he smells some nice worm pieces

Here is a nice picture of him searching his cage

And here he is after eating a nice large piece of worm (about 1/3 of a large worm)

Here is my female Dekayi Cupcake (yes she had another name change, I don't know how this keeps happening, I think she is having an identity crisis!)

She didn't want to eat when I took this picture, seems that a few days later she shed, so I wasn't too worried. She also seems to LOVE sitting in those fake vines, just about 99% of the time she is up there relaxing.

A quick word on Cupcake, one day I was playing some games, and turned around to check on up on them (as I often do) and what do I see? Scrat and Cupcake getting busy and freaky! In my excitement over finishing my new cage, I forgot what happens when guys and gals stay in the same house >.< Cupcake was dragging poor Scrat all over half of the cage. While they were gettin busy, I quickly set up my other cage, and put her in it when she was done. So I believe there is a good chance that I will have little little ones soon.

Now for a few pictures of the said cages!

Up first is Cupcakes Bachelorette pad. There is no heaters for this cage, so it is usually kept at room temperature. Cool at night and warm during the day.

Here's a little side view, you can see where she likes to stay in this picture

And a top view

And here are some pictures of my pride and joy, the rather large cage that was built from scratch! A friend helped me set it up, and my dad helped me make it decent

Here is a full picture of it at the foot of my bed

It has four light slots on the roof. One is a heat lamp, one is a daylight lamp, and two are night time warming lamps. Depending on what the temp inside the cage is, is what lights are on. The heat lamp stays on during the day no matter what. Also, all the lights are on a special plug that has this nifty little timer on it, so it will automatically turn off and on the lights after 12 hours. So it keeps day lights on for 12, then goes to night lights for 12.

Aaaaaaand that's it! That is my update! These snakes are fun to take care of, though at times they can be little nuisances, specifically when they don't want to eat and I already cut up a worm for them -_- Cage cleaning days also suck, but that is prolly my own fault for making such a big cage haha!
