Has anyone seen the article on the odd patterned garter found in southern Ind. published in Reptile magazine for Feb. in the mailbag .My eyes can't see the picture too good to get my own idea the mag. asked a herper Bill Love who thought it might be a Marcy/crytopsis cross how ever they are not in that area as i know unless a miss i.d.?

I saw it! I dont think its a hybrid though. I mean, since when did hybrids magically change their pattern halfway down their body? That doesnt even happen in extreme crosses. Its probably some sort of rare genetic disorder or a flaw that happened during incubation... I cant see it being the result of hybridization.

if what shannon said is right then i know whats wrong with it
im betting my future as a geneticist on this diagnosis...its a rare untreatable but often ignored syndrome, often found in large masses, of courses im talking about
