Sorry, I'm unable to reduce my photo to get it on the screen.:D

I'll get a current picture of my Speckle(37 inches) and get it posted.

Keep taking care of those concinnus babies and you just might end up with 43 inch females in about 8-10 years.;)

I don't get it. Looks like an Iowa to me, except that the stripe is orange. Why is it called "Hybino"

Maybe it's just a name to make it seem more fancy. :p

I'm seriously inclined to believe that. Makes it easier to call it "the first" and charge $195 for a snake that really is nothing more than a $75 snake with slight difference in stripe color. I think I am beginning to get this marketing thing. It does just look like a very light colored iowa that inherited the dark orange stripe from it's red radix parent, and not much more than that.

Honestly, albinos all look the same to me. Sure some of them have different patterns and colours but... I like my regular garter snakes. :D

What?

Albino

They look no more alike than normals. You're not alone though. A lot of people just want normal garters.

The pale colouring is just weird to me. I wouldn't mind caring for one, I just prefer normals. I like snows, even though they kind of look like an albino, but... It's hard to explain how I feel about albinos. They aren't "ugly" to me or anything, there's just something kind of... I guess unnerving? about them.

comes from crossing a high red with an albino, produced a bright orange stripe on the albino, deeper orange than normal

That's how I feel about most snows. They just make me get an "eww, icky" feeling. Yes, snows are albinos that are also axanthic so it's actually a combo of two mutations.;)

variety is the spice of life! we all llike different things.... if we all liked the same exact stuff....... I would be hitching a ride to the next galaxy!!! I love both, albinos and normals

I love all garter types and species, including albinos but alas they still give me that weird feeling. If I had one in my possession I wouldn't love it any less than my others.

Ironically, there's not much variation if you don't have any pigment. :D

That's what I was thinking when that first snow red sided was produced. I was like... so what? looks like any other snow garter. I mean, how the heck does one even know what species it is? You just can't really tell by looking at them.

She's huge! If you showed her to my mom she would probably think that she wasn't a garter and she would probably scream. She thinks Mama is gigantic, but Mama's only 1.5 feet long ;)
