Hi folks,

new to this forum, not to herps:). always loved thamnophis, the first pet snake i ever had was a sirtalis. they are so variable within the species that they are always a treat to find.

last month i found an albino sirtalis here in ma.I'm hoping to raise him up right. he has an affinity for nightcrawlers and not much interest in other foods. the only way he'll eat a minnow is if i push it into a piece of worm. i'm supplementing with rep cal.should i be using any other supplements? here is a pic of the little fella

Glad you joined the forum.
Great looking little scrub.
I us Rep-cal. The one with the pink label. Is that what you have?
REP Cal Ultrafine Powder Calcium with Vitamin D3 #200 - Supplements... (http://www.google.com/products/catalog?rlz=1T4GPCK_enUS393US393&q=rep-cal&um=1&ie=UTF-8&cid=3817686425388673074&ei=eVrVTNGOOoSKlweFyPz-CA&sa=X&oi=product_catalog_result&ct=result&resnum=3&ved=0CD4Q8wIwAg)#
Very few minnows are safe for garter snakes. Guppies are a safe live fish to feed.
Here's a link to our Care Sheet. It's always a good read.
