oh jeez. It's not that difficult. You have two options: Upload the pic to a file hosting site such as ImageShack® - Online Media Hosting (http://imageshack.us/) and use the photo insert button to post the link to that picture (called hotlinking) or you can simply attach the photo to your post, which will upload the file to this site and display a clickable thumbnail.

Personally, I prefer the first method. Upload a photo to imageshack. When that's done, view the photo at full size on their website. Right click the full size photo and choose "copy image location".

Then reply to this thread, hit the "insert image" button. When the box pops up with http:/ in it, hit backspace to remove that irritating and unnecessary text. Then right click, and choose "paste". That will place the URL of your uploaded file in the box. Now your image will appear full size, directly in the body of the reply, like this:

http://img208.imageshack.us/img208/7086/snakes021large.jpg

The photo issue seems to come up a lot. Working on a screenshot demo showing how to do this. Done. Uploading to youtube now.

I have never had any luck with Blacknecks eating worms, They always demanded living fish or the stubborn cases demanded amphibians first and progressed to fish.

Good words of wisdom TY

I would invite anyone to give tips on feeding. I have access to mollies and guppies, but the amphibians are going to be a challenge.

Not to many vendors I have found and MT. baker is becoming covered with snow at 9,000 ft. I had better get up there quick.

Lost count of how many times I have said this... Click the darn gallery button on the top of the page.

This forum is running a program called "Photo Post" and it does all the work for you.

The service is free for all registered members and eliminates any guesswork it even generates the necessary BB codes for you.

can't get any easier than that. ;)

No prob. Just not sure why Richard keeps pushing Image shack, unless he's a stockholder in the company.

I'll tell you why. It's because everybody seems to be complaining about image hosting and everybody seems to think that photobucket is the "be-all-end-all" and they are actually one of the worst choices.

I've clicked the gallery tab. What do I see? A bunch of FN random photos. I swear, if I uploaded my own, it would be like navigating through a pile of straw to find my own photo which would be a needle.

Link a member's gallery photos to their profile. Simple as that. Or, I guess, I could painstakingly search through a member index to finally arrive at his/her albums. but it doesn't end there. Nevermind. It's a PITA to navigate, and it's a PITA to explain all the the things wrong with it.

The only thing I hold stock in is you guys. I count on you to call me out. I count on you to allow me to irritate you with these matters and not hold it against me personally.:p

Once you upload and start an album, there is a tab on the upper left "my photos" it will take you directly to your very own photo album.

One of the things I find irritating about image shack or photo bucket is the fact that if you "neglect" your account, they delete your pictures for you.

I've used the forum gallery with little to no trouble. I've be very lazy about putting my photos in folders but that's my fault. Clicking the "My Photos" button takes me right to all my images and any folders I've setup.
I'd rather have my photos stored here than some other server.
It's only one place to go down.
Storing somewhere else is just another place to lose them even if the forum is online.
You do what works for you.;)
Just my opinion.

You got me curious now. Where is this rumored "my photos" button?

Well, personally, I store nothing online that I don't have backed up at home on external HDD, AND the main hard drive. Should my computer HDD completely fail, I also have an internal raid array so there's always a backup.

My own HDD can fail. No matter, a real-time clone of that drive is always there (raid redundancy) This forum, and imageshack can suddenly fail to exist. I won't lose anything unless of course, the internet ceases to exist at all, AND all of my backups (raid and external firewire) cease to exist as well.

When all files and pics, and history of your photos and online life are stored in one place, you're asking for it. To lose all in one fail swoop. And it will happen eventually. Backup. Backup, and backup again. Do it regularly, and do it through hardware, software, and hard copies. I can't stress that enough.

If I took your PC right now, and threw it out a 10 story window into a river, and burned all your CD's can you say with confidence that nothing important was lost, because it's all backed up elsewhere? If not, it's time you re-think and back your ship up!

Click on the Gallery tab.
Right under the "User CP"(upper left area of the screen) you will see the rumored "My Photos" button.
Clicking on that takes you to your photos and any albums you've created.
