Be careful of the over feeding. It can cause problems, even death.
Sometimes their eyes are a whole lot bigger than their stomachs.:D

Oh, I know. he gets 3-4 pieces of salmon and the occasional pinky tail. 3 days ago, though, I put a dish in the tank to see if Runt would eat and it seems that he took a few bites out of it. I had my mom take the dish out because I was going to take a nap. She may have given him some, if he didn't help himself. She thinks it's okay to feed them more than they need just because we can. She doesn't care about obesity problems, she got mad at me for putting Snakey on a diet when I first learned of the problems with overfeeding. She told me it was completely cruel to put an animal on a diet simply because they enjoyed gorging themselves on pinkies and worms.

Feeding `ad libitum´ is okay if you anounce a Lent once in a while.
I´m feeding most of my snakes as much as they like, and most healthy specimens were not able to devour more than they were able to digest.
But there are two exeptions of the rule:
Feeding after a long time off food should be less and
feeding very big prey may cause regurgitation frequently!

wow, absolutely gorgeous.. I want one of those now too.. I am gonna have to start hounding the breeders to let me purchase a few beauties like that. I think I have proven I am capable by now lol. Lilly (my checkered) is doing wonderfully and is as snobby as ever.....
It robably doesnt help my mother standing at her cage telling her how beautiful she is..... Trying to give her a big ego...

It's been awhile since I've updated this thread and I wish I had better news to report.
One of the males has always been a shy eater and much smaller then the other male.
Where the other would fill-up on food this one would take only one piece and be finished.
This morning I made the decision to put him down as he has lost most of his muscle tone and is very lethargic.
It's a shame to see this beautiful snake go but I think it was just a matter of time for this little male.

Blue phase Flame. Say that 5 times real fast if you can.
