Yesterday was feeding day for my babies and I figured it would go like any other feeding.....i was wrong!!
As soon as I opened the enclosure and gave a couple snakes a tiny piece of food they seemed to smell the food and they all started attacking each other....biting onto each others heads, tails and sides; and they weren't quick to let go, I had to take them apart.
This has never happened before...not even just between 2 snakes, let alone the whole bunch.
I removed all the snakes and fed them individually and gave them all some alone time before I gave them a bath and wiped them down before returning then back to their enclosure to remove any food sent.
These snakes are fed every 2 days on a mixed diet and are all very thick (as thick as one can expect a baby to be lol) and healthy looking. Since fall has hit here my adult snakes have stopped eating and my babies are eating like wild hogs.
Just thought I'd share this info with you all, your thoughts are very welcome!

my snakes ARE kids lol
They are the only kids I have for now; I may try to breed and produce some human babies in the future, but I think Ill need a good brumation first...from what I hear I wont get much sleep after wards lol

You won't sleep at all. Especially if you had twins. At age 2 they will drive you out of your mind. I went through that and I'm happy not to become a mother for a long time ;) Those human kids are scary. I'll stick to snakes for a few more years or more.

Yeah, I think Chantel tells scary stories of being bitten and such:D
Human kids require brumation, preferably after birth, though that doesn't seem to work in anybody's best interest.
Sleep? No sleep for you!!! I don't think I have slept in 22 years (through the night)
What were we talking about???
All kidding aside, Snakes are great but so are human babies. Worth every minute of what they'll put you through. You can only hope to survive:rolleyes:

It's not my fault those things bit and scratched me. If I'm lucky they didnt have rabies but they sure seemed like it! Haha. I do like kids, I just don't think long term is my thing right now ;)

Haha, you guys are funny!
I've managed to get in a bit of brumation before my human kid gets here, hopefully it was enough, she was originally due Oct.10th but they pushed it back a week so we were expecting her yesterday. Any day now???
In the meantime I'm on the couch with the laptop "brumating" lol.

being the (one of if not THE most active) teen on the site i have to say....checker has kicked in some parental instincts....when i put suff in the tank i make sure it cant fall and crush him, i obsess with his shed "come on get it off get it off" , i scold him after every escape but am really just glad he's back with me an safe, i also probably take him out too much! and my grandparent senses say...no they scream SPOIL HIM!!!!!!!!!!!!! :) human kids require too much feeeding i'll wait for a steady income and a WIFE before any kids :)

After having reptiles for so long I'm half expecting my human child to shed once a month. Haha.

Well if he/she starts rubbing their face on rough surfaces you may have a serious problem lol
