This afternoon I was feeding a group of young snakes some cutup pinkies when I glanced over at the enclosure next door.
Apparently some of the males had figured out what I was doing and they wanted some.
I broke down and gave these guys some thawed fuzzies.
I just can't take those starving little faces. I feel so guilty.:D

LOL yeah knowing you im sure these guys are nearly starving.....
...Poor things have to settle for high quality, hand selected mice on a regular basis....I don't know how they ever survive lol
I actually met a couple for the U S of A a few days ago, i was very VERY tempted to ask them to smuggle a couple of my maritime garters across the boarder for you lol

I saw the same thing here today Steve, I had a whole plate of pinks and several snakes spotted the plate.

They don't miss much. They smelled it long before they saw it.:D
My rodent freezer is now in my snake room.
Seem every time I open it snakes come out of their hides sampling the air.

Having glass partitions separating the duel enclosures isn't such a good idea when you want to give a few snakes a treat. I open one end of the enclosure and the snakes at the other end come out and rush the glass to see what I'm doing.
Then the press their little faces up against the glass like kids looking in a candy shop window. I've even had them try to take grab worms through the glass as a snake on the other side came by with a piece of food.
They are silly, hungry snakes.:D

Speaking of smells, they can smell the trout thawing out and I have garters dancing behind glass all over the place.
I thought Radix were supposed to be friendly Steve? my snows try to eat my hands no matter how much washing I do, if the trout is out, they snap into a feeding mode that is like they are under hypnotic suggestion.. Must eat daddy's fingers, must eat daddy's fingers.

That's funny. If I bring fish of any kind into the snake room, my Iowa radix immediately comes out of his hide flailing in the air with his mouth open. Talk about begging! He's blind so he just waits for me to stick the food in there. I usually tong feed but occasionally feed from my fingers. All my snakes recognize when it's a finger they've bitten and they immediately let go or don't actually set their teeth in. I guess it's the difference in temperature that clues them in.

That's exactly what these snows do.
I have to try and get some pics.. They come out holding their mouths open, I swear if they could drool, they would.

I can only hope that someday a few of my radixes make it out of the U.S.
World domination is what I'm after.:D

Radixes are way ahead of you Steve, even if they aren't your radixes.;)
They got them even in China, including albinos.
