After feeding a group of my females some trout I was sitting down posting to the forum. I heard a strange noise coming from the enclosure I just fed.
I looked in and saw a young female making small squeaky noses. Then she made a long sharp noise like a sneeze.
It sounded so small but loud. I think this girl was clearing her glottis out. Apparently something went down the wrong pipe while she was eating.:D

I've had my Florida Blue, Jesse, sneeze quite a few times. It caught me off guard and I really had to stand there and listen to make sure it was a sneeze and not some rustling in the plants:D

I've continued to check on the girl throughout the day and she seems fine.
I was a little scared it may be the beginning of a respiratory problem.
She'll be on the watch list for a few days but I think she'll be fine.
Dad worries too much.:D

So true! That is what concerned me about Jesse. I had the tank on the floor at the time and wondered if it was too cool for them. I did use heat lamps but thought the coolness would overrule. I have not heard any sneezing since I have brought them off the ground, though it has also been summer here. I'll still need to keep an eye on him.
