I "thought" I had males and females separated but guess how I found out I didn't? Yup, went to change the water today and found 5 additions to the aquarium, 4 were alive and 1 didn't make it. Now I need help getting them to eat. 3 look pretty healthy but I am concerned about the smallest. He is about half as thick as the others (which isn't big at all)
I have some small worms in a dish as well as some feeder guppies in another. So how do I get these little guys to start feasting? Ideas? Help? Anybody?

DON'T PANIC

Seriously. Don't. It can take up to a week or more before they start eating. The top priority for now, is an escape proof enclosure and fresh water.

Thanks Stefan. Do I leave the food in there with them? and really what is escape proof with these guys? lol

Make sure they are away from the adults(they can get crushed). A shallow dish of water and a hide. Some babies don't eat in the first week or two. I start offering food on day 2 or 3. I offer every day after that until they are an established eater.
A heat source would also be great. Make sure they are drinking as babies can dehydrate quickly.
Small worms and guppies is a good mix.

Almost forgot, congrats.

If you want to. No harm will come from it, I think.

Yeah, Just came downstairs to check and 1 was knocking down a worm. Put him in a separate container now that he is on his way so I can watch the others

It sounds like you've got everything under control.
Keep us posted of the progress of your little scrubs and don't forget to post some baby pictures, please.
What are your plans for these little ones. Seems late in the season to release, doesn't it?

They should have been born 2 months ago so I can't release them now. Maybe summer next year but I guess we'll see

Good call. Keep those babies safe and give them a fighting chance next Spring.
