I was bitten twice by a wc possible gravid garter, Does being gravid affect the personality of a snake?

Gravid or not, until they trust you they will be defensive.
I do think being gravid might make her more uncomfortable/wary than normal.
Be patience:)

Idk, sometimes pregnant garters can be a little cranky.

I was cranky late in my 2 pregnancies. I wish I could have gotten away with biting, LOL :)~

Lol, yeah, I'm pretty cranky right now too! Eating helps with the urge to bite/yell/etc.

The only time I heard a garter hiss was when my last Florida Blue girl was gravid, she was an absolute softie at all other times. They definately want to be left alone and I could see how they would be a lot more defensive.

Sometimes I want to bite and I'm not even pregnant anymore! One of my WC females tags me everytime. She did it again last night when I cleaned their home.

LoL. and there are a few people here I'd like to musk...:p

I'm not a violent person, so I'll try to restrain myself and skip the biting much like all the concinnus I've ever owned:D

BTW, you might be unwittingly encouraging this behavior from your snake by giving her what she wants after she bites (letting go and leaving her alone?)

I found that most biters will stop doing it if you just continue to hold them and let them bite. After a few times, they learn it doesn't work and stop bothering to try.

Somehow, yelling "cat fight" just doesn't seem to fit.:D
Maybe she's showing you who the dominant female is:rolleyes:
