Many of you will remember my radix named Tang http://www.thamnophis.com/forum/general-talk/5515-orange-man-radix.html (http://www.thamnophis.com/forum/general-talk/5515-orange-man-radix.html)&
http://www.thamnophis.com/forum/urgent-care/5623-tangs-trouble.html Tang had a very orange dorsal that stayed orange to the tip of his tail.
Born to the Ranch a few weeks ago I offer you Sunkist. This little radix had a solid orange dorsal and something extra. What would be the normal white on him is an off orange color. Sort of Peach colored.
This photo does not do this little one justice. The photo washes out most of this snakes color qualities. This is one amazing little radix.
I've never seen a radix with so much orange. I will be keeping a close eye on this little scrub as it grows.
I will work on getting a photo that is worthy of this snake.

Ohhhh, one of my favorite colors! (I have a weakness for bright oranges and yellows. I guess my 'dream snake' would be colored like a Baltimore oriole or a goldfinch.)

I'm really disappointed in my camera. This snakes dorsal stripe is a knockout orange.
and then there's all that orange/peach body coloring.
Since it's so young I'm hoping the color intensifies as it matures.
I hope, I hope.

I would love to see him when he's older! He better intensify that colour! Tell him that I say he's gotta! He's just gotta! ;)

When doing close-ups like that, be sure to use the macro setting, you know, the little flower symbol. Also, try with and without flash in different light situations. Some cameras even have a setting to up the saturation, change the white balance, etc. Try all those different settings. Whatever it takes to get a better representation of the true colors.;)

Wow, gorgeous colors! I think I'd actually like it better if it wasn't albino tho. Do the 'normal' siblings of these albinos have strong yellow and orange or does melanin mute everything down?

some of the normal hets do have the orange....not as bright, but I haven't kept any long enough to raise them up to see how orange they get

Would the hets you're going to send to me be like that?

not very likely....the father carries the orange color gene, but the mother carries the red gene. so the babies can carry both they aren't showing either at this time

Sorry to report this little radix (Sunkist) didn't make it.
She developed some kind of neurological problem and had to be put down.

Sorry to hear this Steve. Great looking snake.
I missed this thread originally as it was before my enlightenment. Looking back at the original pic of this little scrub - our Lipwig looks very similar with a knockout dorsal stripe.

I'm sorry this happened, Steve. Sunkist's orange dorsal reminds me of my Tiger. I attempted a recoloring of the image.
