i had this snake when i was younger and never actually knew what it was so thought i would ask you guys to help me with it.id love another as i think its gorgeous, thanks for any help in advance

Saw one of those in another thread last year. It was a Xenochrophis, but I don't remember the species. I'll go look for it.

honsetly loved this snake i also was very lucky to get it as a shop near me where i used to buy snakes when i was younger offered me it. they had it brought in as an unwanted pet and ended up selling it to me for £5 how mint lol.

Beware the heavy parasitic load these snakes (if imported) almost always carry.

James makes a good point about the parasite load. It sounds like you got a sweet deal.
Take the money you saved and get a fecal float done to make sure it's clean.
We've had a number of people pass by the forum and some regular members who have had these snakes die.
Most of these snakes are wild caught and exported to where ever. They usually don't get any Vet. care before they are sold.

well i had this one years ago and was thinking of getting another one as it died and i always loved the colours and the attitude;)

What Steve says is one of the most responsible and cost efficient things you can do as a snake carer. It is your duty now to look after the health of your companion and the fecal test does not take much. Please do!

Actually, you mentioned getting this snake when you were young. Do you still have it?

no, unfortunately it died i did have it for about 2 years tho
