Hi everyone :) I have decided on a name for my new girl. I have named her "Fáilte".It is Pronounced"Fall-sha" and is Irish meaning "welcome". LeAnn thought she was a female and after looking at the thread about visually identifying sex of garters, I think so too. But I took a good photograph of her tail and wanted to get your opinions.

She is eating well now and has had her first shed here as well. I am so happy that she is doing so well. She is a real sweetie :)

I wondered what that was. Since she was born and raised with LeAnn, I knew she had not been injured. Is it just like a birthmark or something??

Well, those scales are not unlike fingerprints which we are born with.

It's interesting that they are in the same area as the snakes belly button which usually only involves a few scales but then heals over . I've seen that the split scales of the belly button heal completely.
I still must say "very interesting"

You looking is fine but I think I'd like to take a look myself. Just box them up and send them to the Ranch. I'm rather busy right now so it will be 4, maybe more years before I can get them back to you.:D
