Hi I'm gunna be going to Michigan the weekend of the long weekend, I'm just wondering if there are any good reptile stores closer to the border or mid state. I'm taking my girlfriend there for shopping for her birthday, so it's just giving me a chance to see what else is offered. Maybe give me a chance to git my hands on a different type of garter that i havn't been able to here.

Tropical Fish Pond in Royal Oak, off Wooward between 13 and 14 mile, big time reptile store. It used to be owned by Jeff Gee many years ago but Jeff sold it.

Hello. I'm New here, but I'm from Michigan so I thought I'd offer what I've found. Abou the Reptile store on Gratiot near 13... I think they meant The 28500 Gratiot Ave, Roseville, MI 48066 » Map (586) 779-7623 Call before driving by though- They have either moved or closed as the storefront I know was closed last time I drove by. There is also Great Lakes Reptile 25205 Gratiot Ave Roseville, MI 48066 (586) 773-1807 Again, call first as I'm not sure if they are still around- this area is going through some hard economic times and all the pet stores are suffering. Oceans & Seas 26085 Gratiot Ave Roseville, MI 48066 (586) 778-2223 Has a few reptiles, but their primary focus is on fish. The reptiles they had last time I was in though were beautifully kept. Now for someone I *know* is around. At Gibraltar Trade Center in Mt. Clemens Gibraltar Trade Center, Mt. Clemens, Michigan, Mount Clemens (http://www.gibraltartrade.com/MtClemens1.html) There is a gentleman in a booth just a couple rows over from the front offices (Right on the corner on the main isle.) who sells reptiles and reptile supplies- he was very helpful when my son and I dropped in with many beginner questions about proper garter snake care and feeding. Tropical fish pond used to have a very good reputation, but I haven't been out there in years so I don't know if they are still as good as they used to be.
