Caging

I was wondering if anyone else has had an issue of keeping the enclosure dry? I've changed from paper towels to a carpet like mating, and a few just keep playing in their water until there is water standing in some spots of the enclosure. I have two enclosures where two are being held in, but this isn't an issue in these. It's some of garter's that are being held by themselves. Just looking for some advice.

yes a few probs but i decided to lower the power of the waterfall :)..no clue...different bedding weould work...aspen

it helps to use a larger water bowl and not to fill it up as far, allowing for water displacement and then some
and of course have a bowl that won't tip

I'm using a plastic sandwich container, that's only filled about halfway, so it will not overflow. Every time I look into the cage these two are very rarely not in the water. One of them isn't one of the problem feeders either. So it can't be feeding on this ones part. I've checked for mites, and haven't found anything. I'm just worried about scale rot or something else to that matter.

Hmmm.. I don't know what to say. I can't say I've ever had that problem. If the enclosure is big enough, and not overcrowded, my snakes have always pretty much stayed out of the water, and the substrate stays dry.

Is there a possibility that they are tipping it at times, allowing the water to spill out?
