Okay this is Lola, 3 months old and hitting around the 25cm(ish) mark.
Had some conflictions as to what/when I should feed her, the place I picked her up from recommended two small pinkies every 5 days but this seems like a rather long gap for one so teeny tiny.

Sooooooo a lovely young man suggested I start a thread on the matter to see what all you guys think ^^

Hi welcome abord!!
I think its better to mixt the food ...like few earth worm every day and one pinkie a week its good if you can frog and fish ...so you can fed your snake every 2-3 days...it's quite enough.

every three days works well. Garters have fast metabolisms.

Pretty much what he said. in the first year you should go easy on their digestive systems. Give her worms and fish (from safe sources!)every other day, if she'll eat them but not enough to stuff her all lumpy. Throw in bits of pinkie so that she eats one over the course of a week.

Fish and worms digest quickly and keep things moving internally and provide water as well but are not as nutritious as pinkies. Pinkies take longer and are harder to digest. Best to mix it in over the course of a week to provide the nutrition that fish and worms lack.

When she's about 50cm long, a couple of whole pinkies every 5 days will probably be perfect.

if she takes pinks, I'd feed them to her
my babies are offered pinky strips as well as fish and worms for their first meal, and if they take pinkies, then that's what they get
2 every five days is totally fine
when my babies prefer rodents, I don't feed them as often as those who eat fish; the fats in mammals last longer, and it's easy to end up with obese snakes
