Just found a albino crawling across my basement floor.Must have escaped when it was first born.I had a dam set up and everything to prevent this! The snake immediately started chewing on my finger!

Shame on you both. You know better.:p
Think escape PROOF. PROOF. PROOF. If the containers they were born in were escape PROOF... then neither adults OR neonates would get out.
Those lil' guys are so sticky, and tiny. I swear they'd get out of a round all-glass, 4 foot high enclosure if their only way out was to scale the glass and slip through a 1mm gap, they'd do it.:D
They are by far the best escape artists right when they are first born. Sticky, and light. That's all they need to scale a glass wall.

it happens to even the best of us. A lot of times it's when you *think* it's escape proof and a baby just happens to show you you're wrong. Glad to hear you found another one Tom! Alive and well at that! :)

I know, I know. I was teasing him of course. This does provide an opportunity to re-examine the enclosures so you can once again be baffled and still have no idea how they got out.;)
If I'm ever in PA, I know who's house I want to go herping around.:D
Oh, and while I'm at it, have you had any cool garters escape lately shannon?:p

Last year I walked into my snake room to see a little albino radix scooting across the floor.
Somewhere I have a picture I took of an adult going right up the glass like spiderman. I'll dig it out and post it.

Cool. I would love to see those pics.
People don't believe me when I tell them that the little baby ordinoides they just found and want to keep, will get out of the aquarium they plan to put it in. Every time, sure enough, the snake gets out. Little boogers get themselves wet and go right up the wall. Took me a few years to catch one in the act and then it was like "aha! so that's how they're doing it!"

In this case, even the glass is wet. See spot stick!

You noticed. I quit misting after that.
Now I hold the squirt bottle way down low when it "rains"
Also that was years ago, I would NEVER consider mixing sand in the substrate now.
Oh how we change our ways as we learn from others.
