got a call from Nikki while out here at work....took a call in the area, picked up a dog and stopped by home. my het albino red sider popped!!!!! 27 total babies! 4 albinos, 2 stillborn :( 22 double hets, 8 stillborn, and one double het I guess.....very tiny, barely formed baby. will have to get pics tomorrow.

WOW.... only 4 albinos?!?! but that's still an awesome litter. Congratulations! :D

yea.....was hoping for more....oh well.... the albino gene was the same on, but the male and female were from different litters, unrelated. and he passed away...bummer. will hold a couple and try to get them up to breeding size by winter! also, this was her first breeding and litter.

Kinda funny how at a certain stage, they look very much like a bird or a lizard would at that stage.

Kinda funny how at a certain stage, they look very much like a bird or a lizard would at that stage.
or even a human! We are all related if you go back far enough... and watching the stages of embryonic development supplements that idea nicely.

I checked and both albinos are male....willl be keeping the high red one.
