This kind of solicitor is more than welcome to come around the Ranch.
While I was in the big snake room this morning I noticed some movement at the big window. This female radix was up at the glass. I guess I understand why as the weather has turned cold and wet. We had a morning temp of 42 degrees. No wonder she wanted inside. Probably saw and smelled the worms and pinkies.
She has an interesting and beautiful pattern. I love the extra black on the belly scutes.

Hey she was just reading that neon sign above your house that reads, "All garters welcome here. All you can eat buffet. Good food, real cheap!"
BTW I had a friend whose ball python would get out frequently and end up in her bed. Problem was, it HATED her hubby! Too much competition I guess!

I find it amazing how they trust once that fear is gone. I have a number of radixes with no startle response.
Reaching for them, touching them doesn't phase them at all. I have a few I blow raspberries on. They don't even flinch. My kids always say "Dad, your crazy" every time I do it.
I do remember the first time I did the raspberry thing. The snake spun around and gave me this look like "what the heck was that" Now, they don't even care.

lol now that true love!
when it comes to trust I always find the females warm up faster to me.(and yes i mean snakes lol) a perfect example if that copper color maritime ive posted pics of; when i first had her she would quickly hide when i opened the enclosure. That was until she fed for the first time, the very next day when i opened the enclosure she came to the edge and when I held out my hand she slithered right into it, shes done that everyday since

Your comment about the females is right on. My male radixes are just fine with being left alone until it's food time.
The females are more like a good old dog.
Of course there have been some exceptions. I've had a few males that enjoyed hanging out and being handled.
Unfortunately, they passed on a short time ago. One from old age and the other from a life long birth defect. I miss my men.

With all the radixes around his house, the odds are in favor.

I got really lucky this time. Instead of my males (concinnus) being fiesty and nervous as usual, this time they are calm and inquisitive. The big smart females still hold a special place in my heart though.
