Tonight I pulled all my girls out of their 6 foot enclosure as it is cleaning time. They will all spend a day or so in the tub while their living space gets scrubbed. One of the items in their home is a naturally hollowed out log. It's about 20 inches long. When I pulled it out I also pulled a smaller female out of it. I gave the log to Gabby and told her to set it on the back deck so I could clean it out in the morning.
Approximately 45 minutes later I layed down to get some sleep. As I tried to sleep I kept going over the list of snakes that went into the tub. Something seemed wrong. Then it dawned on me, I didn't see one of the two males that was in with the girls. I hadn't seen my boy Midnite.
I jumped up and went to the back deck and grabbed the log.
You guessed it , Midnite was still inside.
Gabby said she brought the log up and rolled it out on the deck. That had to be a heck of a ride for Midnite. I would have felt terrible if I had lost him.

Id say he was thinking "wilderness...hard to find food, things that want to eat me, cold, crazy humans, lawn mowers.....OR stay here and be hand fed the best food and "introduced" to all the prettiest females....WHERE THE HECK IS THAT GUY?!?!?! I WANNA GO BACK!!!"
