as requested iv tried again get some shots to try sex my pair of florida blues, included a couple of the baby chequered too

I can't say for sure, but my guess would be both male. Hopefully, more experienced members will also give their opinion.

None of those pics help. Can you zoom in so only one inch of the snake is showing, and make them a little more blurry please.:p

Judging from pic # 4 I want to say male but don't take that as the final word.

the first tail pic looks like it could be female but it looks more male to me... taken at a weird angle. the last three are males

She's right. Upon taking a second look the first does look female. It's really not that hard to learn to sex garters. They're pretty easy usually. Generally, males have long, gradually tapering tails. Females tails are shorter and taper more abruptly. Sometimes females are thicker and more robust looking overall too. Also, at least with concinnus (sirtalis) if you have a pair of the same age, the females tend to be bigger (and thicker) but that's just a general rule.
