this litter is from a snow red-sided bred to the same, so all the babies are snow red-sided. This girl went a bit early I am affraid, she had been pacing the tube for the last week or so and stopped eating a couple weeks ago so I was worried about her, and sure enough she thru several jelly beans (unfertile eggs) and there were 5 fully developed stillborns, the great news in there were 4 perfectly healthy live snow babies born. One of them is very pale, the others are very pink

Yeah, don't get me wrong folks I'm not whining or complaining, I'm just stating the whole story, the cold hard facts, the truth about the litters, without any sugar coating or reporting only the good news and leaving out the rest, but rather the good, bad and ugly, as such is life. And I'm thankful for my blessings everyday whatever they may be, big or small.

Congrats Jeff,
What do they look like as adults? Are they white or pink?

Tom, I would say they are more pink than white and they don't get any white-sh yellowing and striping like the plains snow, at least the 2 that I have, there really isn't any pattern or color at all. I will post picts of the parents for you maybe tomarrow.

I actually appreciate it, Jeff. It's nice to know what is involved and that things don't always work out perfectly. I personally just never know quite what to say... I mean the losses suck and there's no getting around that... but those pink little worms are kind of cute :D

Nothing else it was a snow to snow breeding, so that was all that was expected. My albino female and 2 double het females are still due to have babies, should have a nice variety from those 3 females though.

You mean you have Sirtalis Attachment Disorder aka (SAD) or do you suffer from the more severe Metastistic Sirtalis Carcinoma aka (MSC) more commonly called Sirtalis Brain Cancer, or do you just have a common case of Sirtalisosis or Sirtalisitis, but perhaps though you are actually a Level 5 Compulsive Sirtalis Hoarder?

Is there a support group?
Scott F

Yes we would have to sit in a circle, and the person speaking will have to stand up and state "I am a sirtalisaholic, it has been x days since my last interaction w/ sirtalis and I am having major dt's " lol

hehe, Sirtalisaholics Anonymous (SA) meetings, I think my wife would prefer an addiction to Thamnophis or Sirtalis over the other addiction options available in todays society. I don't think collecting garters is exactly "Breaking Bad".:D

I actually think they look disgusting. Especially when they are all wet like that. Eeeww. If I want a pink worm I'll go dig one up. Congrats though.
I wonder why that one is so pale?
