Just picked up a real nice group of Central American garters, some of these are really cool and am excited w/ the opportunity to work with them. First 3 are of cansecans.

This is a melanistic version of cansecans, very similiar to the mel wandering as far as their gloss and sheen.

These are what cansecans normally look like, although they do come in many colors, even red.

T Scotti, these are super cool, love their colors and pattern. They remind me of the patchnose snakes found in the southwest.

the t. Inseperatus, don't believe these have a common name. If anyone knows if they do have a common name, let us know. This female was doing some tail twirling, probably some defensive posturing similiar to that of ring necks.

Are the inseperatus as iridescent as they appear in the pics? Wow! Thanks for working with some of these lesser known species. It's nice to be able to see them, in pics at least :)

Tami, they are extremely irridescent, it's hard to pick it up on camera but think the photos captures a bit of it (my photog skills suck lol)

Those are interesting Scott, the T atratus zanaxathus look similar (though not exactly the same) or related to T.radix.
I like the melanistic cansecans, looks cool, looks like the on in the pic is in shed, would like to see a pic right after shed.

The eques scotti are definately my favourites. I was drooling all over them at the Houten show.
