Fake PM popups?

several times today when I open a new browser window and come to the site, I get the popup that tells me I have a new PM. I click "OK" (popups allowed) and I get nothing. I go to private messages. Again, nothing new.

Are you really sure there is nothing new??

Some browsers will not open the PM but will mark it as "read" so it will appear that nothing new is in your box, when really there is.

Yes, I'm sure there was nothing new. Very strange. Anyway, I haven't had a problem since. Thanks.
