Never before have I met such evil garters!
All but one male then to bite at everything...

I like the way they are turning out. Should get better when they reach adulthood

Nice. But they do look weird with that 5-row wide dorsal stripe. :D

Very nice! Or should that be very evil?! Or how about "wicked good" as they say in Maine? Anyway, I like them!

They are from a lake in Mexico, needing a little more warmth than Common Garters and will become as long as 48 inch and thick like a wrist!

Wonderful looking snake. I looked them up online and saw a few pictures of adults. It appears that dorsal color blends in with much of the lateral coloring with adulthood. At least that what I saw in the photos. Here's a link to what I was looking at.

Thanks all!

They do get big, thats for sure!
@guidefather; yup, the dorsal could blend in more when they reach adulthood, but it doesn't happen to all of them.
@gartergeek; As Udo said, Mexico
@ Stefan; If I remember correctly, the dorsal can be up to 7 scales wide (...unsure...)
