Now that the "sick-season" has arrived, I was wondering whether it is possible for my snakes to get sick from me. Can snakes catch different forms of the cold or flu from us? Should I limit handling my snakes if I'm sick? From what I've read, snakes can't catch the human cold...Is this true?

Thank you! :)

Could they catch the flu or other diseases? We can catch diseases off them...

As far as I know are virusses of mammals not active in reptiles.
Bacteria is something else. Mammals can infest reptiles and vice versa. Maybe not all bacteria, but some.
