Basement snake

My roomie found this guy in our basement being stalked by one of the dogs. I was very surprised to come home and find a tank that i thought was empty had a new inhabitant. The tank was already set up when he found him!

Here's another picture. He's not exactly a fan of being handled yet, he tried to eat my friend when i was introducing him to her (she is not a snake fan either so it was actually pretty amusing). He needs a name if anyone has any ideas.

And then here is a picture of the newest addition. I stopped at a pet store to kill some time and a guy was selling these out of his car in the parking lot. I'm a sucker and she was only $10. So heres my first venture into the non-garter world. Sorry about the picture quality, my digi camera is broken so i had to use my cell phone

That's a very pretty amel. Both of them are great looking snakes!

Oh my god Corinne33, that looks almost exactly like the snake I found in my basement.
By the way, she's appropriately named "Basement Snake".

I'll have to get a good picture of her later and post it for you.

Lol i've been calling them Snakey 1 and Snakey 2. I also have a cat named Gato (which means cat in spanish) and a kitten named "Not Gato". At one point i had a dog named Puppy. Right now i have two pit bulls named Blue and Harley which is about as uncreative as you can get for pitty names. I'm so so so bad with names.

HAHAHA. I'm just as bad. I have 15 garters - 6 boys and 9 girls. There's basement snake, girly, antler (she always rested her head on a small antler I had in their habitat), tiny, medium snake, the big one, kük, jake (the people who found her named her that), f**-up head or FUH for short because her head is asymmetrical and her tongue comes out her mouth crooked. Kind of like Greta VanSusteren.

The boys are spaz, the biter (he likes to pretend he's going to bite - coils up and springs out, but always does a head butt), magic marker head (he has 3 short black lines on his head that look like magic marker), 'the one who looks like spaz', the twins.
RIP The Beanprout - he just looked a little beansprout when he was a baby.

I love Gato and Not Gato!
