Tonight, I noticed one of my babies needed help finishing its shed. Then I noticed it had a very distinct kink beneath its neck. I had noticed this baby before, twisting almost upside down sometimes and thought it was just how it was moving at the time. However, it appears this baby may have scoliosis. Besides the kink on its back, behind its neck, it has a curve further down its spine. As I held the baby in warm water, it almost turned itself bellyside up as it moved thru my hand. Except for the apparent deformity, the baby seems to feed well and may need help with sheds on occasion. Tough little scrub. I'll try & post a picture tomorrow.

Looking forward to the photo. My Krinkleback has to be helped when shedding. No big deal. They are worth the effort. If the kinks are around the neck area you may try to keep its food smaller then the others. That way he/she will have an easier time eating.

I will keep making pieces small. Baby has a big lump in tummy so he/she ate something good for dinner! the kink behind the neck is almost like a hunchback.

Does your little one look anything like this. I haven't posted about my little Quasiimodo. He's doing fine. I had to help him shed and I feed him away from the others.
