my garter unexpectantly had a baby about a week ago...she's small for her age and there was only one little guy who has been doing well.

WELL, I just went to feed her (she hasn't eaten in a couple weeks :() and she's sitting on her rock with lots of dead babies!! There are at least four ones...and they don't look properly formed. Eekk, not a site I expected to see!

I'm going to remove them without disrupting her and hope she's able to pass them all and recover okay. :confused:

I'm very sorry to hear about those poor babies.
I hope the mom will be okay.

I took a picture of them...they looked well-formed in a way, but still within a jelly-sac....I will not post it here though, in case its too much for some people. :-/

Any care tips for mom? There's a heat pad in the tank, but I have a basking light I could install on top as well. I offered her food last night anyway, but she still hasn't eaten. Meanwhile, the lone survivor just wolfed down another worm piece. :D

Sorry to hear about the babies. Hopefully mom will be back to her old self soon.

Great to hear the little lone wolf is eating. That is a very special little scrub you have there. I'm sure we would all love to see a picture.

Lone wolf looks great. Keep that belly full and he/she will grow fast. Do you have any Supps. I use Rep-Cal for all my snakes. If you don't have any I'd be glad to send you some until you can find some. Just let me know, send me a PM.
Once again, sorry for your loss of the other little scrubs.
