I will post a pic tomorrow. My battery is dead.It seems my albino flame is partially scaleless.I knew there was something wierd about it the whole time.As it gets bigger it is more noticeable. It has a ton of half scales, scales that are just the keel, and some that are missing.I am hoping it is just a birth defect and not genetic. She did come out with a wierd eye also.

that looks really odd! it's like, the scales are there, but in a uniformly reduced amount. At least that's what it looks like. It kind of looks like when they eat a whole lot and the skin is all stretched out but looking closer it does looks like some of the scales are on the small side. On another note... can we see the whole snake?! it looks freaking GORGEOUS!!!

I'm not seeing anything out of the ordinary, those look like complete scales to me.

Actually... looking at it again... It looks more like all of the pink areas are where the black on the snake would have been, and it LOOKS like more pink skin than there really is and some of that pink stuff is actually part of the regular scales, but it's just so hard to see so it is making you think that it is all skin and not scales. Kind of like on my albino redsideds... they have a lot of "skin" looking areas that are actually scales!

None of my other albinos have scales like that.

Do you have a recent shed? I think that would make it easier to tell what is actually scale and what is skin.

I´m not seeing anything other then a very fat or angry snake....showing lots of skin between the scales

It's awful confusing, what is skin and what is scale.

Good idea, Thomas.
I never thought to look at an old shed.

Actually, now I do see the skin in between, especially on the second picture.

Yeah! I think it has all of it's scales, the color is just kinda transparent and it's a skin color for a garter snake.
