That daughter of mine, Gabby is a snake finding machine. While at a friends house she came across this beautiful female. She said it wasn't welcome there and brought it home. Looks like I've got another mouth to feed this Winter. Not a problem.

When my kids were younger this house was the magnet for all the other kids. At dinner time I had my 5 and sometimes 5 others. Now, it the snakes. My food budget for next year will have to be increased by some to keep up. I love it.:)

Wow. That is a beautiful snake.:D Somehow it looks very different from the other ones you get. Is it just the photo, or is there another reason?

I think the LED my camera has caused too much flash. I usually get radixes and this is a T.s.p(red-sided). She is a lighter color than I'm used to seeing in our local population of T.s.p
She's a very pretty snake.

Wow, I'm loving the red markings. There's a population of T.s.semifasciatus near where I live that have the red skin between the side scales, but T.s.p have such bright red.

This young female escaped about a month ago. My son came out of his bedroom holding her the other day. He said she was sitting on his DVD player. So, somehow she made it up from the basement and took up residency in my Son's room. That's a very dangerous place for a young snake. She was probably getting drinks out of the shallow turtle containers. I'm very surprised one of the snappers didn't grab her. They eat everything offered. Last night was fruit night for them. Strawberries and cherries.
I'm glad she's safe.

Hehehe... Radix ranch always welcome new comers...
With a great owner/manager and excellent 5 helpers all the residents of the ranch are having the best treatment a snake can ever wish for :)
It is a nice looking snake :) Hope she will enjoy her time with her new friends ;)

I hate to report but this beautiful girl passed away a couple days ago. She had been eating very well and was getting some courting from my red male. The next morning I found her dead at the front of the enclosure.
This is a complete mystery to me.
It's a real shame as she was a unique T.s.parietalis.
Little Lacy will be missed.

These two beautiful snakes were delivered this afternoon.
They will help take some of the sting out of losing that other girl.
Does anyone else think that first snake looks off. I see some radix influence in the scale pattern. I'm just not sure.
Both will go in quarantine and hopefully be ready to breeding next Spring.
