Hey all... It has been awhile since I have been on here.... A few months ago I rescued a beautiful albino checkered garter from Petco that was only being fed one pinkie once a week.... Since I brought her home she has grown substancially and loves her pinkies.. She eats six in one sitting and then is looking for more the next day :) Well she is Little Dude's sister and has been tanked with him and Hudinie, Well this upcoming spring they all will be two so I am worried about breeding. I am not set up for it and would love to find Rescue a safe secure, loving home......

She's always welcome on the Ranch. Let me know if we need to make it happen.
I personnally hope you find room for her. You've put so much effort in her and you deserve each other. I'll be praying she stays with you.

Thanks Steve.... I am hoping that I will be able to get room for another tank when we move here in a couple of months, but if not then I will definately be getting in touch with you. I know that she would be very well taken care of there at the Ranch.

Wait, let me get this straight:

You have two females and one male; you're worried about breeding, but you're putting one of the females up for adoption?

No.... I have two males. one albino checkered that is named Little Dude, and one normal checkered that is named Hudinie. I have had both of them for quite awhile and have been tanked together for the whole time.

Now a few months ago I saw that Petco still had Little Dude's sister "Rescue" and that she was still the size of a baby garter. She is a year and a half old. I found out that they were feeding her only one pinkie a week and in doing so had stunted her growth. Well I felt so bad about how she was being kept that I rescued her from the store. The only room that I had was in the same tank with her brother and Hudinie. Since I rescued her she has grown substantially and is almost the same size as her brother. I really do not want to adopt her out and hopefully when we mover here in a few months I will have enough room to set up another tank for her. But on the chance that I do not I posted up so that way I can see if there are any good homes around where I live so that way she would be able to go to a good home that can take care of her. She has won her way into my heart and I am hoping that I will be able to keep her, but on the off chance then I want to be prepared for the worst. Steve has offerred her a place at the Ranch if I am not able to keep her and I know that she would be well cared for and loved there. I just am not set up for breeding at this time, nor do I have the knowledge to take care of little scrubs right after they are born. So I am not looking to adopt her out at this very moment, but I am preparing for if I do have to.

I remember the story of Rescue. I even did a Shop of her saying "I'll never go hungry again!" But for some reason, I thought you had said your regular checkered was female.

No worries... and that shop was hecka tight! but originally last year I thought that I have two females and then after a bit of male dominance showing I from the albino I thought that teh normal was a female, but after many a people looking at the pics of the tales it has been determined that both are males.....So yes there has been some confusion on the gender of these two before......
