Red belly garter snake?

Okay i have been watching and catching the same 3 garter snakes one of which has a really red belly first thing that came to mind was a flame, but he didn't have a red side like flames so i was stumped but let him go because i realized he was in deep shed that could have caused it.Today i caught him his eyes are clear and he is do to shed in the next day or two and his belly is still red any thoughts him?Also i decided to bring him in this time and keep him till he sheds to see what happens.

how red is it? is it red like blood red, or like it has a red tint to it. it's pretty normal for some garters to have a red tinged belly, I have a few myself!
