It's been 1 year(tomorrow) since I join the forum. I must take the time to say how much I appreciate everyone here. I have learned so much in this fast year. It can only benefit all these wonderful snakes that cross my path. The friendships that I have made from present and past members are priceless.
In the beginning I felt I was alone with this love I have for Garter snakes. Now, I know I'm not alone and will continue to lean on you all for support. I will also do all I can to help all of you.

That's how I felt after the first year. After the second year, it was nearly all repetition and most of the old members that I had learned so much from, had vanished. I suppose that's the message board version of ecological succession.
In a month and a half, I will have been here three years.

 Thankyou Steve for adding so much to this site :D .... your radix encounters are a great read for people like us that don't get to see them in the wild. This forum has been keeping my interest for coming up to 2 years. I'll be here until my interest in garters wanes .... (;) I don't, of course, see how this could happen :D )

As Robert said, this is one of the quickest and most informative places to get much needed information. Thank you all for your support and help with the questions, the new squigglies, concerns, etc. I know that I can come on here and post my question or PM several of you directly and get the help I need for me and my snakes.
Kudos to all of you that make this possible!:D

Hard to believe it's been a year :) Time flies, eh Steve?
Thank you for your contributions. To me, you're the heart and soul of this bulletin board. Many of us can regurgitate the same info over and over <gg> but you remind us all of why we came to love these little critters in the first place and why we continue to devote our time to them... and to those who are newer than we are and are still trying to figure it all out :)

I can't believe that, half a year ago, I was a full-fledged ophidiophobe, but I've now gone from being terrified of them, to catching them, to keeping them in my house. And mostly thanks to this forum. Well, that and the memory of the late Steve "Crocodile Hunter" Erwin.
