My question is how I get them to start taking other food besides live leaches, they don't seem to like worms... When feeding strips of fish should I wiggle it or what?? Any help is great!!

Nothing common about that red-sided female.
She's beautiful.

strips in a dish would be fine...they should take them without any wiggling....also, small feeder fish in a clear bowl will get them feeding.

Try scenting whatever you want them to eat with what you know they like (the leeches). You can also mix leeches together in a bowl with pinkies, fish strips, etc. They should take both the leeches and the other stuff.

Also, housing the two separate would be a good idea, otherwise it's just a matter of time before you end up with spotted wandering babies... and there's really not a market for those. I have two hybrid garters that I'm under contract to kill if I can't provide for them at any time in their lives. There really aren't enough homes who would be willing to make that sort of commitment.

thanks guys!! They take slugs too, I need to get them eating worms or fish because you can't get leeches in the winter. The toad eats crickets, worms, mealworms... whatever will fit in his mouth basically.... He is sooo fun to watch!! Will my snakes actually breed?
