Today, my kids went and caught some minnows. We usually reserve them for Jesse & Noodle but I decided to see if the scrubs would be interested in the flopping fishies. I had about 4 out of 10 eat fishies tonight! Some had 2 or 3. Some ate fishies that I thought were too big but they got them in & kept them in! All the fishies went! I am so proud of my scrubs.:D

I'll watch them. Thank you. I didn't see any belly shakes cause I was watching all the other heads pop up in interest towards the food dish. I could watch them eat all day...

I have to work on a new minnow site. My kids were chased out of the brook today by the neighbor. Not sure what his problem is, he's portuguese, so my kids couldn't understand half of what he was yelling at them. But I had the understanding that the stream does not belong to anyone in particular, isn't that right? Only the land surrounding its banks could be considered yours, or am I wrong? It runs between several of our properties.
Anyways, like I said, don't know what the problem is today, he has seen the kids go there every weekend for the past 3 weeks or so and we even asked if it was ok to cross the property to get there and he said OK. Today? who knows.

Sounds like it's time to have a little discussion with the neighbour, to find out what the problem is.

You're right. I think I will let my husband try & figure out what is wrong.

In the end, I'm not sure which end went first! They were taking them at the sides and then carrying them off like trophies! I think they were proud of themselves, too! It was a big hit on the baby snake front, so we'll have to get more.
As for the neighbor, who knows. I keep asking the kids if they were on his lawn or in the water. They keep telling me that they were in the water, not up on land. My four year old actually told him " The pool is not yours!" Probably didn't help matters, though I think he is right!
