I wanted to know how often you feed garters?I feed my boas every 2 weeks. But thought that since they eat worms they might eat more or can i feed garters every two week.Because i was thinking i might start keeping them and breeding them.I just caught one with a cool orange stripe on the side of his body and offered him a worm off of my finger not a good idea he got me good but ate the worm so no hard feelings and wanted to know how often to feed him.

My adults get fed once a week. My babies get fed twice a week and newborns get fed everyday for the first couple of weeks.
That's just my schedule. Individual results may vary:D

Also it depends what you are feeding. If you feeding worms, small fish, or fish fillets you'd feed them a few times a week. If your feeding them whole prey like rodents, birds, amphibians, or decent sized fish then feed them once a week.

I cut the worms as small as possible. Very sharp pair of scissor, cutting them in very small slices. It's messy but when you see the little scrubs eating it's all worth it.

What about a Damascus-steel santoku and a good cutting board?

Ooops! Oh well, sorry then. I guess you get to do the gross stuff. My seven year old daughter loves to cut up the worms.:D
