This pair produced babies about a month ago and now they're getting started for next year:

Can that happen? If so, it would totally rock. I've bred Easterns for many years and have only had them drop one cluch per year, usually in April or May. I have friend who has double clutched Checkered Garters, but I wonder how common multiple clutches are with these snakes.

Based on the time(s) of year when I find gravid female easterns, I would venture an educated guess that easterns do double clutch in the wild when weather is warm and the season long enough. So a well kept sirtalis should be capable of this.
